Gulf of Poets Monte Marcello - Tellaro ring
Orario & Sede
The Gulf of Percy Shelley, Lord Byron, Virginia Woolf and Gabriele d'Annunzio… The Gulf of Poets !!!
Fantastic excursion between sea and wild hills, where the hand of man has worked to tear up land to be cultivated, of which majestic dry stone walls testify.
Land of the Apuan Ligurians, our tour starts from the town of Monte Marcello (260 m asl) whose name derives from the Roman consul Claudio Marcello who defeated them in 155 BC; we continue along the coast that goes from Punta Corvo to Tellaro, the most romantic town in the whole of the Ponente. From here, passing through the locality of Zanego, we will enter the Mediterranean scrub which is intertwined with typical essences of the nearby Apennines.
