Excursion to discover the beauty of Valleriana!
Also known by the nickname of Svizzera Pesciatina, attributed to it by the Enlightenment and Genevan exile Jean Charles de Sismondi, this mountainous portion of Tuscany adorns the north of the town of Pescia like a crown, enclosing historical, naturalistic and architectural features. that leave amazed the tourist and the shrewdest hiker.
Pleasant and bewitching places will be the undisputed protagonists of the day. Departure from Sorana, home of the renowned IGP bean, Slow Food presidium; through ancient chestnut woods we will arrive at the church of San Jacopo di Lignana and the ruins of the ancient town destroyed in 1365 in the war between Pisa and Florence, we will climb up to the fortress of Mazzalucchio where the gaze sweeps over the entire valley and a large portion of Tuscany. From there we will continue the walk towards the Passo delle Serrine and the village of Lanciole until we regain the walls of Sorana.

Transfer by own means to the town of Sorana from where the excursion will start
