The Alpe della Luna
Orario & Sede
Border place, unknown to many, the Reserve extends over a vast area which, from the watershed of the Alpe della Luna, slopes both towards the Valtiberina (Tuscany) and towards the Marche. The total area is 1540 hectares, while its altitude ranges from about 520 to 1453 meters of the Monte dei Frati which will be our peak for the day. The most spectacular place is the Ripa della Luna, a 200 meters high rock wall in the shape of a sickle from which the name probably derives.
The singularity of the area lies in the high isolation that has allowed this area to be kept in a state that is still almost wild
